Q: Why use my services? A: I am dependable, personable, trustworthy, experienced, and flexible. I feel that I share a special bond with animals and my dedication to animals is endless. I think it is extremely beneficial to keep pets in their familiar surroundings in their owner’s absence, thus creating less stress on their pet. My goal is to keep pets happy and healthy, whether it is dog walking, in home visits, or any other services I offer.
Q: How does the "In Home Visit" service work? A: 1.Contact Four Pawz Pet Services at (250) 300-4722, via email email@example.com or on the contact formhere to discuss your needs.
2.I will arrange a time with you and your pet for a no charge, no obligation initial consultation. The consultation will last for approximately 30-45 minutes. At this time, if contracted, all forms will be completed and you will be able to provide me with any special instructions regarding your pet, home etc.
3.Payment is due PRIOR to the contract start date, and at this time I will collect the key(s). Four Pawz Pet Services accepts cash, cheque or e-transfer only.
4. I will make a confirmation call, text or email to you, no later than 2 days prior to your departure.
5.You can then depart knowing that your pet(s) are in the capable, reliable and loving hands of Four Pawz Pet Services.
6. Upon returning home I request a quick phone call, email or text from you to confirm your arrival home. You can expect to find a pet report card showing the times of my visit's, and information about how your pet/s were during your absence.
7. Thank you for considering Four Pawz Pet Services. I look forward to hearing from you!
If you are "shopping around" please make sure I know up front, and please do not reserve dates or services unless you can commit to them.
Q: Do I ever decline services? A: Rarely, but this may happen if your pet is too aggressive, or I do not feel comfortable caring for them. This will be determined at the time of the initial consultation. I reserve the right to decline services if policies are breached, if there is missing information, or if there is a failure of payment for services prior to contract start date.
Q: What experience do you have caring for animals? A: I have been working with animals since 1999 and had been pet sitting since 2004; in this time I have established a wonderful client base. I have volunteered at the Kelowna SPCA, where I helped maintain animal health, took part in fund raising and helped with local events. I worked for Petcetera for three years, where I was in charge of caring for small animals, birds and fish. While working for Petcetera I assisted with grooming, doggie daycare and photography. I have also worked for two local veterinary clinics, which has helped me gain experience and knowledge to care for a variety of animals.
Q: What types of pets do you provide services for? A: I provide services for dogs, cats, chickens, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, birds, fish and reptiles. If you have a pet other than mentioned above, I would be happy to learn what is required to care for them.
Q: Can you contact me to let me know how my pets are doing during your absence? A: Absolutely!!!! If requested, I will email or text you a quick note with your pets update and also send photos. In addition, a pet report card and visit log will be left for your review upon your arrival back home.
Q: How do I prepare for In Home service? A: It is always best that all regular pet supplies are stocked in the home prior to departure. (i.e.; food, litter, poop bags, treats, or anything else that your pet will need to stay happy)
Q: What are your rates, discounts and when is payment due? A: My rates can be found hereor contact me and I can email them to you. Discounts can be applied for extended service contracts and pre-paid multiple dog walking appointments. Payment is required prior to all services rendered. For unanticipated extended contracts or unexpected pet expenses, payment will be due within 48 of your return home.

This is a one-time charge on each of these days and is in addition to visit charges.
Q: Do you charge extra to pick-up mail/newspaper, or take out garbage/recycling? A: No, this service is included with all visits.
Q: How much notice do you need for me to reserve your services? A: As much notice as possible. (Preferably 2 weeks)
Q: What if I need to cancel you services? A:Due to the fact that the success of my business relies on scheduling, a full two-day notice prior to the first scheduled visit is required for cancellation. Failure to provide notice of less than two days will result in a $20.00 cancellation charge.
Q: When should I call you upon my return home? A: Please call, email or text me as soon as you can. I will be expecting your call.
Q: Does my pet need any form of identification? A: Every pet should have some form of identification, whether it is a tattoo or microchip. By law, all dogs must have a dog license (can be purchased through Regional District of Central Okanagan)
Q: Will my dogs need to be vaccinated? A: In Home Visits - I do not require pets to have up-to-date vaccinations on their pets. However, please do make sure that if your pet is ill while you are away, that proper instructions are given, etc. Dog Walking - I recommend vaccinating against Bordetella (kennel cough) since I could be walking multiple dogs at a time; however, I leave this up to the owners. You may want to consider flea/lice treatment as a preventative measure as well.
Q: Can I request that my dog be kept on-leash for walks? A: Yes!! Four Pawz does on and off - leash walks...
